You will need to own a purchased clone of M4 for G3. Icon looks like an arrow pointing up and right.įor "target" choose G3, and under that choose Clone and Michael 4. Choose edit-rigging-convert to weight mapping and "general." Go to M4 in Scene Tab and click the little top right button. Right-click on it and choose "Favorite-Add To Favorites." Or for doing it the hard way, which I tested with Jeremy (NOT a beginner option, if you don't already know ERC freezing and transfer utilty I would not try it):ĭial in the morph you want to use on M4 so you don't lose track of it. Or you can use these free zero poses on the hands, and then go to the Pose Controls and pose the hand in a couple of seconds, which is what I usually do for promotional images. I also already have their G2-G3 script and can vouch for its robust and easy-to-use nature I have the V4-G2 version in wishlist myself now (somehow I missed it on release!) because I love those Structure M4 sets and I want them back!įree or paid, the hands won't be perfect, but hand poses for G3 are numerous and cheap. Zev0 and Draagonstorm are deservedly popular artists whose stores go on sale regularly. That is, you can target the V4-G2 program to a folder and convert everything in it in seconds, then target the output folder with the G2-G3 program and convert all of those, too.

The strength of this is that you can then batch convert.

The other way is to spend $34 (if there is no currently applicable sale) and get this product and this product by Zev0 and Draagonstorm. This is fabulous if you have one pose you want to use, but it's going to take a really long time if you have, for example, all of Structure/jlk's free poses (which I do) and want to convert them all. This also comes with a free script you can use to set up conversions that it does not include (such as M4 to V7, G1 to G3, etc) and some other nice scripts for mirroring and applying poses selectively. Then if you want to retain the converted pose you can save it back to library. To do this you load a V4 and a G3F or G3M into the scene, apply a pose to V4, and apply the script to V4 to get it to transfer properly to G3. You can do it in a way that is a little more time-consuming but costs nothing using these scripts from ShareCG by rsg. Just putting on the pose and adjusting manually doesn't really work because G3 has more bones than Generation 4.

There are at present two ways to do this. There have been a couple of discussions recently on the Daz Forums about converting Victoria 4/Michael 4 poses to Genesis 3 figures.
